When a hardwired Ethernet connection isn’t practical, WiFi connectivity allows you to easily monitor and control your I/O module wirelessly. The built-in WiFi capability of the X-410CW allows you to create logic, monitor inputs, and trigger relays through a standard web browser and WiFi network. (Note that an Ethernet connection is required for initial setup of 400 Series devices.)

The Benefits of WiFi Logic Controllers

  • Flexibility: WiFi-enabled controllers are often used when a hardwired Ethernet connection isn’t feasible.

X-410 Setup

The diagram illustrates how this demonstration is wired. Nothing is connected to the relay contacts; however, you can still turn the relay on and off to see how it works.

The input state only changes when a voltage is applied to the input. For this demonstration, we have connected one of our X-332 controllers to the input of the X-410. You can apply a voltage to the input of the X-410 by accessing the control page for the X-332 (Digital Input Control Page).
